About Trevor

Trevor McClelland spent most of his childhood in the state of Kansas. He has a twin brother along with five other half-siblings. While growing up in Kansas, Trevor lived in many different foster homes as a ward of the state. He bounced between homes and was periodically reunited with his mother. After some time, he moved to Missouri with his mother. It wasn’t long before Trevor was placed back into the foster care system where he cycled through even more homes, including an orphanage.

After aging out of the system, Trevor attended junior college for a few years before enlisting in the United States Air Force. During his time in the military, he developed a passion for teaching and public speaking. Trevor has been stationed in Utah, Italy, Colorado, and Alabama, where he is currently stationed and lives with his wife Sarah.

A large part of Trevor’s life is his faith. He enjoys spending time at his local church as well as finding ways to give to those who are less fortunate (Trevor knows first-hand how it feels to have nothing).

When he’s not working, Trevor enjoys hiking, working out, teaching, cooking, writing, and developing a strategy board game. He really enjoys meeting new and interesting people, so please reach out!

22 Houses Is Not a Home is Trevor’s first book, and was not a one-man effort. Trevor is grateful for each person who took the time to help him edit the book and make it what it is today.

There are people in this life who want to care for you, love you, and get to know you. Always make room for healthy relationships... and carrot cake.
